Job Title: Lead Quality Engineer
Location: Middlesex, North Carolina (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting the search for a Lead Quality Engineer who will help drive product and process quality across assigned value streams, products, customers, or suppliers. This position plays a key role in strengthening quality systems, reducing non-conformance, and supporting continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy quality management system requirements, business system tools, and advanced quality methodologies to prevent defects and improve customer satisfaction.
- Support quality planning, risk mitigation, customer support, audits, assessments, and corrective action activities.
- Lead investigations of customer complaints, escapes, and returns, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and structured problem-solving.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, Supplier Quality, and Supply Chain to improve supplier performance, support process capability improvements, and strengthen launch readiness.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, supplier quality, or related technical roles.
- Experience working within a regulated quality management system environment.
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001, APQP and PPAP deployment, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), internal auditor or lead auditor certification, aerospace manufacturing, and advanced problem-solving methodologies is preferred.
