Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Richmond, Virginia (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a hands-on maintenance opportunity supporting day-to-day facility operations and helping keep the workplace safe, functional, and well maintained. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys general building repair, preventative maintenance, and practical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems through work order management and CMMS documentation.
- Complete facility inspections and due diligence assessments, documenting conditions and escalating issues promptly.
- Carry out general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, repairing office furniture systems, replacing lighting and ballasts, and moving office furniture and equipment.
- Support HVAC-related upkeep, including cleaning coils, changing filters and belts, and assisting the operations team with building and equipment repairs.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing, with the ability to pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, climb up to 30-foot ladders, and perform frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
- Proficiency in utilizing CMMS systems for work order management and documentation.
- All required licenses as mandated by the authority having jurisdiction and completion of all scheduled safety trainings.
