Job Title: Materials Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and collaborative materials design professional to support the development of new and seasonal concepts for footwear. Our team is looking for someone who can help shape material direction, contribute to product excellence, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to bring innovative ideas to life.
Responsibilities:
- Develop material concepts and seasonal narratives that elevate product experiences across the footwear category.
- Collaborate with product design, color design, graphic design, technical, material development, product management, and merchandising partners.
- Support the creation of new materials, new methods of make, and sustainable design approaches where applicable.
- Prepare and present concepts, 2D technical drawings, and supporting materials for small and large group reviews.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, art, or a related field, or 2 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with strong ability to create and edit files.
- Ability to build accurate 2D technical drawings, work with 3D samples and mockup samples by hand, and use presentation programs such as Keynote, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
