Job Title: Materials Development
Location: Beaverton, OR (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented materials development professional to support seasonal color development and help ensure approvals are completed on time for buy-ready commercialization. Our team is looking for someone who can collaborate effectively across functions, manage multiple priorities, and bring strong communication and color review skills to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Track and facilitate lab dips for seasonal color initiatives, identifying issues and supporting timely approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to analyze potential color risks and support mitigation planning.
- Support seasonal color direction through strong color knowledge, organization, and follow-through on deadlines.
- Build effective working relationships with internal partners and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Textiles, or a related field, or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in color, textile, or product development.
- Knowledge of textiles and dye methods, plus understanding of digital color measurement to review and approve lab dips.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
- Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity.
- Strong organization, multitasking, and self-starter skills, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
- Experience communicating and collaborating with global partners; apparel and material construction knowledge is also required.
