Job Title: Mechanical HVAC / Plumbing Engineer
Location: Hill Air Force Base, Utah (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a project-based mechanical engineering opportunity supporting federal work from an on-site location at Hill Air Force Base. Our team is looking for someone who can provide design review support, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and help ensure mechanical systems are reviewed with accuracy, clarity, and code compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Review HVAC and plumbing deliverables, including specifications, drawings, calculations, and basis of design documents.
- Support design submittal reviews, RFI responses, and construction-phase engineering coordination.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other disciplines to help maintain project alignment and compliance.
- Present findings and communicate clearly with groups that may include clients, peers, contractors, and end users.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Federal industry experience and familiarity with government requirements, including UFCs, MIL-STDs, and UFGS.
- Strong HVAC and plumbing design capability in industrial, commercial, central plants, boilers, chillers, and related markets.
- Knowledge of building mechanical codes and sustainable design.
- Security Clearance (SECRET) or ability to obtain one; U.S. citizen; must complete criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
