Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Nashville, Tennessee (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to support building operations for a major facility. We are looking for someone who can help keep critical systems running smoothly through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs across HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, water chillers, and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with pumps, motors, air handlers, automation controls, and associated electrical systems.
- Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage work orders and document maintenance activities.
- Support energy-saving opportunities, general building maintenance, plumbing repairs, and safe day-to-day facility operations.
Required:
- Valid state driver’s license maintained throughout employment.
- Minimum 2 years of technical experience in building engineering with expertise in at least one specialized area: packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair, or general building maintenance.
- Hands-on proficiency with commercial HVAC systems, including pumps, motors, air handlers, and automation/controls systems, with the ability to complete repairs in accordance with industry codes and regulations.
- Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and self-perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and handheld electronic devices such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones.
- High school diploma or GED, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage diverse relationships professionally.
