Job Title: Mobile Engineer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a search for a Mobile Engineer to help keep multi-site facilities operating safely and efficiently. This position is focused on hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems, with regular travel between facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, repairs, and preventative maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
- Travel between multiple facilities and complete work while helping ensure each site remains operational and compliant.
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, adjust, and replace equipment parts to support optimal HVAC performance and accurate equipment operation.
- Maintain safe work practices, manage tools and inventory, and monitor outsourced maintenance work for quality and pricing.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 to 7 years of experience, including experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Ability to analyze commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine issues, and take corrective action.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification, with EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC is preferred.
- HVAC EPA Universal certification is preferred, along with strong communication skills and well-rounded handyman skills, including light plumbing and electrical work.
