Job Title: Mobile Engineer
Location: Springfield, Illinois (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a mobile facilities opportunity for a skilled professional who can help maintain critical building systems across a service area covering Springfield, IL and surrounding locations. This position is focused on keeping HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment operating efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related facility equipment.
- Inspect assigned properties and complete repairs for interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.
- Respond to work orders, update status in real time, and use CMMS tools to track work performed.
- Support call-in work, submit P-card receipts daily, and help maintain safe, energy-efficient facility operations.
Required:
- Minimum of four years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance.
- Universal CFC recovery certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver’s license and availability for call-in work, with willingness to perform other duties as required.
