Job Title: Operating Engineer
Location: St. Louis, Missouri (On-Site)
Shift: 7am-4pm
Job Summary: We are recruiting for an opportunity to join a Class A office and life science building environment, supporting the reliable operation of critical mechanical and facility systems. Our team is seeking a professional who can help keep the building running smoothly while delivering strong service to tenants and supporting day-to-day engineering operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Support preventative maintenance activities and help maintain the work order system on a daily basis.
- Respond to tenant service requests and assist with on-call or emergency situations as needed.
- Troubleshoot building systems and carry out general maintenance tasks, including painting, pressure washing, lighting, and locksmith work.
Required:
- 5-10 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
- Experience in a life-science/lab or medical office setting is preferred.
- Trade school education, union training, military service, or college is desirable.
- Universal CFC EPA certification, or interest in achieving it within the first year with assistance from the company.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort working on ladders up to 30 feet tall.
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive, along with strong customer service skills.
