Job Title: Packaging Engineer
Location: New Albany, Ohio (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to provide project management and technical support for packaging operations at a new site. Our team relies on advanced engineering principles to deliver robust solutions for pharmaceutical product packaging and ensure regulatory compliance across multifaceted projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project management for entry-level engineers and contingent workers, overseeing the planning and execution of complex packaging projects.
- Evaluate, recommend, and select new secondary packaging materials for pharmaceutical products, ensuring compatibility with manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Write test protocols, conduct technical evaluations, and submit assessment reports to support the use of selected materials and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate technology transfer, maintain cGMP compliance, and drive pre-commercial and commercial packaging activities.
Required:
- Doctorate degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field; or Master’s degree in a similar discipline and 5 years of packaging engineering experience; or Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong technical communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and excel in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated project management experience supporting the implementation of commercial packaging configurations using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in assessing and solving complex problems related to materials, packaging operations, and regulatory requirements, with flexibility to adapt to changing environments and shift work as needed.
