Job Title: Patient Support Specialist
Location: Whippany, New Jersey (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in a crucial role focused on providing patient-centered support. Our team prides itself on delivering a highly empathetic, concierge-class experience, ensuring patients, physicians, and pharmacies receive exceptional service and timely access to care for prescription medications.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to inbound and outbound phone calls and claims from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, assisting with access to care and reimbursement needs.
- Deliver program information, eligibility guidance, and support for copay assistance programs with a strong focus on empathy and clear communication.
- Refer escalation requests as needed, collaborating with other teams such as Program Management, IT, and Contact Center teams to resolve complex issues.
- Support other departments as assigned, which may include administrative tasks such as mail sorting or claims processing.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED completed.
- At least 1 year of experience in health care or case management within a high-volume contact center or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong customer empathy, high emotional intelligence, and a dedication to excellent patient care and service.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
