Job Title: Platform Specialist
Location: Houston, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a contract opportunity for a highly skilled platform professional to help design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure. Our team is looking for someone who can improve performance, reliability, and scalability across multiple environments while contributing strong troubleshooting and automation expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including provisioning, configuration management, and security best practices.
- Analyze cluster performance and resource utilization to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve Kubernetes-related issues involving network connectivity, storage, and application failures.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline Kubernetes operations and reduce manual effort.
Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including pods, services, deployments, stateful sets, and storage.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and configuration management.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their Kubernetes offerings.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Must be eligible to permanently work in the US.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
