Job Title: Product Engineer
Location: Southfield, Michigan (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are partnering with a leading organization seeking a Product Engineer to support vehicle launch programs and deliver design and release work for evaporative emissions vapor valve applications. Our team is presenting an opportunity to contribute to prototype development, testing, customer communication, and timing-critical engineering deliverables that help bring new products to market.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate product engineering deliverables in support of vehicle launch programs, including DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, DVP&R, PVP&R, and DFSS activities.
- Develop commercially viable design solutions for new product opportunities within evaporative emissions and vapor valve applications.
- Support prototype development activities, including analysis, design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, testing, program management, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, customers, partners, and suppliers to meet program objectives and timing requirements.
Required:
- Experience supporting design and release responsibilities for product engineering deliverables tied to vehicle launch programs.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, DVP&R, PVP&R, and DFSS disciplines.
- Background in evaporative emissions and vapor valve technical applications.
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders verbally and in writing and to support warranty investigations and technical support for customers and plant personnel.
