Job Title: Project Industrial Health and Safety Specialist
Location: Orange County, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled health and safety professional to support a construction and inspection work scope in a chemical-related project environment. This position plays a key part in helping maintain safe work practices, strengthen contractor safety management, and provide daily safety oversight on site.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and task-specific evaluations to identify and reduce safety risks.
- Provide daily safety oversight, complete work permits, and support mitigations for assigned work scope.
- Inspect work areas, investigate incidents, support training, and promote compliance with applicable regulations.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a health and safety role in a manufacturing industry, preferably in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work on site daily in Orange County, CA, with experience overseeing site safety for construction projects involving scaffolding, sandblasting, hot work, pipe welding, and installation.
- Must be a US Person due to export compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software; CSP or CIH certification is preferred.
