Job Title: Project Manager (Mechanical Engineer/Civil Engineer)
Location: Cleveland, (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking a versatile project management professional with an engineering foundation to help guide complex capital work from early planning through closeout. This opportunity offers the chance to support cross-functional project execution, manage schedule and cost expectations, and contribute to technically driven work across multiple active projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams through project execution from inception and design through construction and closeout.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while supporting schedule adherence, risk identification, and in-service date objectives.
- Oversee financial performance by maintaining accurate cost forecasts and monitoring committed and uncommitted costs.
- Coordinate client meetings, approval processes, field resources, and routine reporting to support successful project delivery.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 4+ years of engineering and/or project experience; 4–6 years is strongly preferred for consideration.
- Experience managing projects through scheduling and project planning, budgets and cost management, approval or stakeholder meetings, project execution, and project completion or closure.
- Experience with transmission and distribution projects is highly relevant; large capital or construction project experience valued, particularly projects of $5M+ in value.
- Ability to travel approximately 2–3 days per week on a recurring basis, primarily to Akron, Denver, and Minneapolis, with 10–15% travel noted in the role details.
- Mechanical or civil engineering background, or project management experience with a civil/mechanical background, and a willingness to transition into project management is preferred.
