Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Houston, Texas (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support control engineering projects with a focus on construction supervision and inspection. Our team relies on strong technical leadership to ensure project quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards throughout all phases of work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and inspect project construction work, acting as the owner’s agent and making technical decisions as needed.
- Track and review engineered drawing redlines throughout construction, cutover, and commissioning, ensuring all updates are captured accurately.
- Interact with operations teams to recommend control system improvements that enhance safety and environmental protection during normal and upset conditions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as daily inspection reports, job plans, construction scopes, and redlined I&E drawings for as-built purposes.
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of work experience as an Electrician or Instrument Technician, with at least 5 years in construction supervision for I&E construction companies preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to review and field-verify I&E drawings and I&E Design experience is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of relevant industry standards, including NFPA 70, NEC Articles 250 and 392, API RP 500/540, NFPA 496/497/70E, and familiarity with additional standards and specifications as listed in the position description.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to rapidly learn new software tools and strong organizational and communication skills required.
