Job Title: Radio Frequency Engineer
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team in supporting wireless system deployments and Microwave (MW) transport systems. Our team values expertise in MW link design, engineering, and optimization to deliver robust wireless communications solutions for utility, industrial, and government environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, model, and optimize point-to-point and point-to-multipoint MW links using industry-standard tools for end-to-end system performance and reliability.
- Conduct MW path surveys, validate RF designs, and document installation drawings and technical procedures for seamless system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support clients through all stages of wireless system deployment, including equipment configuration and field validation.
- Create comprehensive Bills of Materials, prepare cost estimates for wireless solutions, and review technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an engineering field related to communications.
- 5+ years of wireless communications related work experience, with emphasis on MW transport systems and RF Design.
- Proficiency with Pathloss 6 and Infovista Planet for MW and wireless network planning, link design, fading analysis, and interference mitigation.
- Experience generating and delivering technical documentation, conducting client-facing presentations, and performing field surveys; utility experience and Professional Engineering License (PE) are preferred but not required.
