Job Title: Research Associate
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented individual to join our team to support advanced formulation and stability studies for therapeutic proteins. Our team values strong foundations in protein chemistry, collaboration, and attention to detail to achieve critical project milestones within a scientific environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory experiments to support protein formulation development and stability testing initiatives.
- Conduct analytical characterization of protein samples using biochemical and biophysical techniques, including HPLC chromatography.
- Prepare and handle samples by executing tasks such as pipetting, dialysis, and concentration adjustments for protein solutions.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, maintain accurate electronic laboratory notebooks, and effectively communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or a related life sciences field.
- Minimum 1+ year of laboratory experience; industry or academic setting acceptable.
- Strong understanding of protein biochemistry and protein structure, with hands-on skills using basic lab techniques such as pipetting and sample preparation.
- Demonstrated experience with HPLC chromatography and protein analysis, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
