Job Title: Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Scientist opportunity supporting discovery proteomics and internal target-discovery efforts. This role is central to sample preparation, LC-MS analysis, and quantitative proteomics data interpretation within a primarily onsite laboratory environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute proteomics workflows spanning sample preparation, LC-MS analysis, and quantitative approaches including DDA, DIA, TMT, and PRM.
- Apply cell surface and proximity-labeling approaches to support target discovery and characterization.
- Operate, evaluate, and troubleshoot LC-MS systems and proteomics workflows independently.
- Process and evaluate proteomics data using software such as Proteome Discoverer, Spectronaut, and DIA-NN, while collaborating with bioinformatics scientists and cross-functional teams.
Required:
- Hands-on LC-MS / mass spectrometry-based proteomics experience.
- Ability to independently operate, evaluate, and troubleshoot LC-MS systems and workflows.
- Experience with proteomics data-analysis software such as Proteome Discoverer, Spectronaut, and DIA-NN.
- Experience preparing samples for mass spectrometry analysis and working with diverse biological samples such as cell lines, tissues, biofluids, and/or FFPE samples.
- PhD preferred; a fresh PhD is acceptable. A master’s degree may be considered with approximately 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic or research experience is acceptable if directly applicable, even if previous industry experience is limited.
