Job Title: Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a Scientist to support a highly specialized genomics team focused on generating high-quality data through advanced molecular biology workflows. We are looking for someone who can combine hands-on laboratory execution with computational analysis to help drive ongoing discovery efforts forward.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nucleic acid isolation and quality control, along with qPCR, dPCR, and ddPCR workflows.
- Construct NGS libraries, including standard and high-throughput RNA-seq methods such as DRUG-seq, as well as ChIP-seq or CUT&RUN.
- Process sequencing data, perform quality control, and support computational data analysis using R and/or Python when needed.
- Operate high-throughput sequencers, sample quality control instruments, and automated liquid handlers while maintaining laboratory materials and documenting work in an ELN.
Required:
- Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or a related field, or a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 2 years of scientific experience.
- Hands-on NGS library preparation and construction experience.
- Experience with ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, or related epigenomics techniques.
- Experience using R and/or Python for computational biology, sequencing data analysis, and quality control.
- Experience working with NGS sequencing, computational data processing, and gene perturbation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in teams.
