Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Orlando, Florida (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a driven accounting professional to oversee and enhance the accounting function for a well-established commercial construction firm. Our team values leadership, accountability, and a hands-on approach to support ongoing growth and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership over day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate management of financial processes.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, or independently manage all accounting functions as needed to support the organization.
- Manage job costing, work-in-progress schedules, and revenue recognition for multiple construction projects, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while supporting forecasting, cost control, and project profitability analysis.
Required:
- 5–10+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry.
- Advanced proficiency with the latest version of QuickBooks, including the ability to fully navigate and utilize all core features.
- Strong command of job costing, work-in-progress reporting, and percentage of completion accounting principles.
- Proven ability to operate independently and take complete ownership of the accounting function in a project-based environment.
