Job Title: Senior Associate Import/Export
Location: Remote
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking a detail-oriented import/export professional to support global trade and customs compliance activities. We are looking for someone who can help ensure accurate classification, documentation review, and export screening to support timely movement of goods across borders.
Responsibilities:
- Assign Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification codes and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) to commodities including drug product, raw materials, chemicals, and other materials.
- Review shipping documentation and customs invoices for accuracy, including valuation, commodity classification, and country of origin.
- Submit Export Declaration (EEI) filings to the US Census via AES.
- Complete sanctioned party list screening through SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) and classify products per the Harmonized Tariff of the United States (HTS US).
Required:
- U.S. Licensed Customs Broker preferred.
- Trade compliance experience required.
- Experience with Harmonized Tariff classification required.
- Ability to conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders, explain legal and customs requirements, and communicate clearly.
