We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Automation Scientist to join our Integrated Technology & Engineering Team.

Position Overview:

  • As a Senior Automation Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in operationalizing automation/robotic initiatives within our Product Development organization. Your responsibilities will include developing, troubleshooting, and managing automation projects, as well as identifying opportunities to enhance existing development protocols through automation solutions. You will provide crucial analytical and formulation support to development projects, collaborating closely with stakeholders to align automation platforms with development needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize automation/robotic initiatives within the Product Development organization.
  • Develop and troubleshoot drug product automation activities.
  • Manage automation development project portfolio.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities within existing development protocols for automation enhancements.
  • Provide analytical and formulation support to development projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align automation platforms with development needs.
  • Introduce fit-for-purpose robotic capabilities across different sites within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline (Master’s or Ph.D. highly desirable).
  • Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience with automation/liquid handling workstations.
  • Strong expertise in scripting for liquid handlers.
  • Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages (e.g., VB, Python, Perl, R, C++/C#) preferred.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, CE-SDS, iCE, and high-throughput purification.
  • Ability to troubleshoot liquid handling devices related issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
