Job Title: Senior Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant (Epic)
Location: Burlington, Vermont (Hybrid)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Consultant with strong Epic experience to support client engagements focused on revenue cycle optimization, operational improvement, and process transformation. This role will work closely with healthcare provider organizations to assess current-state workflows, analyze operational performance, and help implement solutions that improve revenue cycle outcomes and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of healthcare revenue cycle engagements, ensuring project tasks and deliverables are completed on time and with high quality.
- Assess current-state revenue cycle operations and contribute to the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational, financial, and revenue cycle data to identify performance challenges and recommend solutions.
- Partner with client stakeholders and project teams to support operational improvement and transformation efforts.
- Collaborate with operational, clinical, and IT teams on Epic-related revenue cycle optimization initiatives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and support mitigation planning.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with client stakeholders while delivering a high level of service.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare provider revenue cycle experience.
- Hands-on experience with Epic revenue cycle workflows, reporting, and operational processes.
- Strong understanding of front-end revenue cycle operations, including insurance verification, authorizations, and patient collections.
- Experience with coding, CFB/DNFB, denial management, and end-to-end revenue cycle operations.
- Experience using healthcare EHR and revenue cycle management systems within provider organizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Epic implementation, optimization, workflow redesign, or revenue cycle transformation initiatives.
- Experience working in a healthcare consulting, advisory, or project-based environment.
- Experience utilizing Epic reporting tools and revenue cycle performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
