Job Title: Senior Instrumentation & Electrical Designer
Location: Houston, Texas (On-site)
Job Summary: We are searching for a professional to take ownership of design and drafting management for key plant, pipeline, and facility construction projects. Our team values expertise in coordinating project deliverables and driving efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate project design and drafting management while assigning electrical equipment, instrument tagging numbers, and conduit/cable numbers, and resolving drawing development issues.
- Prepare process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, equipment layouts, facility plot plans, and produce/update equipment and instrument lists for construction projects.
- Assist in the development of project, engineering/design, and construction scopes and participate in meetings to ensure alignment with project requirements and stakeholder input.
- Coordinate distribution of design packages, oversee drafting changes to record drawings, create material take-offs, and communicate with vendors regarding material quotes and availability.
Required:
- Senior-level experience providing design and drafting services for plant, pipeline, or related facility projects.
- Proven ability to manage technical documentation, material data sheets, material requisitions, and record-keeping throughout project development.
- Experience collaborating with project managers, contractors, purchasing agents, engineering teams, and vendors to resolve design, materials, and logistical issues.
- Ability and willingness to travel by air and/or automobile to facility sites as required for project assignments and meetings.
