Job Title: Senior Material Planner
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts
Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Analyst to support material planning, supplier coordination, and performance reporting across project and inventory activities. Our team is looking for a detail-oriented professional who can turn operational data into clear visibility, helping keep materials moving, risks controlled, and project milestones supported.
Responsibilities:
- Manage material planning, supplier communication, ordering support, expediting, tracking, and delivery forecasting for assigned suppliers and projects.
- Build and maintain material status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics covering availability, delivery performance, forecast accuracy, readiness, and quality.
- Partner with Engineering, Project Teams, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Field Material Management, Procurement, and Supplier Performance teams to support execution and issue resolution.
- Monitor supplier commitments, escalate delivery or quality risks, support corrective actions, and provide data for performance reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent utility industry experience in lieu of degree requirements.
- 3-7 years of experience in materials management, supply chain, procurement, supplier management, engineering support, or utility operations.
- Experience supporting capital projects in electric utility, energy, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments, including coordination of suppliers, material deliveries, or inventory planning activities.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP, including SAP Material Management (MM) processes, plus proficiency in Ariba procurement and supplier management systems and strong Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools preferred, along with knowledge of dashboard creation, reporting, and data analytics preferred.
