Job Title: Senior Production Control Specialist – A Shift
Location: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Senior Production Control Specialist – A Shift opportunity that supports high-tempo production execution and backlog reduction within a manufacturing environment. Our team is looking for someone who can help clear work-order debt, strengthen MRP/ERP data integrity, and keep material flow moving so schedules stay on track.
Responsibilities:
- Drive down the work-order backlog by dispositioning idle or no-need-date orders, resolving kitted-but-stalled part numbers, and closing out orders.
- Execute targeted expedite efforts on hot jobs by identifying material and kit needs and removing blockers across service centers and integrated areas.
- Provide off-nominal shift coverage support as needed, handling routine escalations and keeping WIP moving when coverage is thin.
- Maintain MRP and ERP data integrity, communicate daily backlog and expedite status, and flag recurring constraints to area leads and leadership.
Required:
- Experience with schedule management, expediting, or backlog/data clean-up in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, or similar systems.
- Ability to work independently on a defined backlog in a high-tempo, high-ambiguity environment with minimal ramp-up.
- Willingness and availability to support off-nominal shifts, including B/C/D coverage, as needed.
