Job Title: Senior Program Safety and Reliability Engineer
Location: North Hollywood, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented safety and reliability professional to support ongoing engineering, manufacturing, and testing initiatives within a highly innovative organization. Our team is driven to deliver subject matter expertise across crucial safety, EHS, and reliability activities to drive safe, repeatable operations and enable the future of space exploration.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the embedded safety engineer supporting program teams through design, build, commissioning, and test execution phases.
- Implement and manage safety programs covering hazard identification, industrial hygiene, process safety, environmental compliance, and operational risk reduction.
- Provide subject matter input for design reviews, test reviews, operational planning, and readiness activities to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Support incident management, emergency response planning, and coordination with corporate EHS teams in all phases of hardware development and campaign execution.
Required:
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years total work experience in safety, EHS, process safety, system safety, reliability engineering, or operational risk management.
- 5+ years work experience in an operational aerospace environment, manufacturing, chemical industry, pilot plant, prototyping, or test operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and state/local regulations, as well as expertise in hazard assessments, job hazard analyses, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
