Job Title: Senior Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an innovative contributor to join our team focused on chemical process development for drug manufacturing. Our team values technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement in the synthesis and analysis of organic compounds.
Responsibilities:
- Drive independent synthesis and characterization of chemical intermediates and process impurities within a laboratory environment.
- Develop and optimize organic reactions, perform kinetic studies, distillations, crystallizations, and polymorph studies to advance commercial process development.
- Document experimental results in electronic laboratory notebooks and present findings during group meetings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues including process chemists and analytical chemists to support team objectives.
Required:
- Doctorate (PhD) degree or equivalent (PharmD, MD, Master’s with 3 years, or Bachelor’s degree with 7 years experience) in organic chemistry or a related field.
- Proficiency in organic synthesis and demonstrated hands-on experience in laboratory-based research.
- Experience interpreting analytical data using HPLC, LC-MS, and NMR techniques.
- Strong teamwork orientation, excellent communication skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
