Job Title: Senior Security Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team focused on data security initiatives. Our team values technical expertise and effective communication to support critical projects that safeguard sensitive information within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute expertise to major data loss prevention (DLP) projects, supporting deployment, integration, and troubleshooting across server-based platforms.
- Collaborate with internal engineers and customers to articulate requirements and deliver technology solutions for enterprise security infrastructure.
- Utilize and maintain operational runbooks and participate in semi-annual business continuity activities, including occasional after-hours support during incidents or escalations.
- Implement and optimize application infrastructure in hybrid or remote environments, ensuring compliance and effective system performance.
Required:
- Demonstrated experience with DLP technologies, Linux and Windows server-based platforms, and deployment of security applications for data in rest and in motion.
- Strong technical skills in database queries (SQL/Oracle/Teradata/Hadoop), software development (Java, C), and API development for both custom and vendor-provided applications.
- Working knowledge of networking, firewall technologies, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), containerization, and scripting/programming with .NET, PowerShell, and vbscript.
- Proven ability to communicate technical information to both engineers and internal customers, utilizing diagnostic tools such as WireShark and command-line utilities for troubleshooting.
