Job Title: Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Location: Waltham MA/ Hicksville NY/ Brooklyn NY/ Syracuse, NY/ Albany, NY (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are representing an opportunity for a technically minded procurement professional to help shape sourcing decisions that support safe, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure delivery. We are looking for someone who can combine analytics, supplier engagement, and commercial judgment to strengthen category strategy and deliver meaningful value across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing initiatives across RFx, sole source, and direct negotiate events to support business objectives and mitigate risk.
- Develop and refine category strategies in partnership with stakeholders, using analytics, market research, and supplier performance insights.
- Analyze complex bids, identify commercial differences, and prepare clear recommendations for supplier selection and contract awards.
- Support supplier relationship management by engaging critical suppliers, resolving issues, and helping build KPI frameworks that drive continuous improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is required; master's degree is also referenced as a qualification option.
- 5+ years of experience in a procurement role.
- Experience managing $10–20M spend with contract and framework/multiyear agreements.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and ARIBA, plus Power BI.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
- Experience in bidding construction projects is a plus, including EPC, EPCM, GMP, and Design/Bid/Build models; professional certification in Supply Chain or Contract Management such as CPSM or APICS is also a plus.
