Job Title: Sr Real Estate Representative
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr Real Estate Representative to support utility infrastructure projects by coordinating permits, licenses, rights-of-entry, and property-related agreements. This role works closely with internal project teams, railroad companies, government agencies, consultants, and property owners to facilitate real estate activities, maintain project documentation, and ensure timely project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate permits, licenses, rights-of-entry, and property agreements required for utility construction projects.
- Review permit applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, railroad companies, consultants, and internal stakeholders to support project timelines.
- Track project milestones, permit status, approvals, and required documentation using project management and database systems.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and provide regular project status updates.
- Identify project risks, resolve permitting issues, and support timely project execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and property rights processes.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 1–5 years of experience in real estate, right-of-way, land administration, permitting, utility, infrastructure, or related project coordination.
- Knowledge of property rights, permits, licenses, rights-of-entry, and real estate documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and document management systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Experience working in the utility, energy, transportation, or railroad industry.
- Experience coordinating railroad permits, licenses, or property agreements.
- Familiarity with project management systems such as uPPM or PERMS.
- Experience working with cross-functional project teams and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of utility construction, infrastructure projects, or land acquisition processes.
