Job Title: Sr. Real Estate Representative
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois (Hybrid – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Real Estate Representative to support wireless telecommunications infrastructure projects by managing real estate and collocation requests for utility transmission assets. The ideal candidate will have experience in wireless telecom site acquisition, permitting, utility real estate, or telecom infrastructure, along with strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between wireless carriers and internal engineering teams, ensuring requests are reviewed, coordinated, tracked, and processed efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and communication.
Responsibilities:
- Review wireless telecommunications collocation requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with engineering, real estate, legal, and internal stakeholders throughout the approval process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for wireless carriers regarding transmission asset collocation requests.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Track project status, approvals, milestones, and outstanding items using workflow systems and project trackers.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, databases, and reports.
- Identify missing documentation or project requirements and coordinate resolutions.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments and external business partners.
- Prepare status reports and communicate project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company processes, documentation requirements, and project standards.
Must Have:
- 1–5+ years of experience in Wireless Telecommunications, Site Acquisition, Utility Real Estate, Telecom Infrastructure, Permitting, or Real Estate Project Coordination.
- Experience supporting wireless telecom collocation, site acquisition, tower, small cell, fiber, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience working with utility companies, telecommunications providers, engineering firms, or infrastructure organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review project documentation and identify missing requirements.
- Experience maintaining project trackers, databases, and project status reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Experience supporting electric utility transmission or distribution projects.
- Experience with wireless carrier collocation programs (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Dish, US Cellular, etc.).
- Experience with telecom permitting, zoning, easements, licensing, or right-of-way.
- Experience using Alden One or similar workflow/project management systems.
- Experience coordinating with engineering, legal, permitting, and real estate teams.
- Knowledge of utility infrastructure, transmission assets, or telecommunications asset management.
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or capital projects.
