Job Title: Staff Civil Engineer
Location: La Jolla, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are searching for a talented professional to join our team in a key engineering capacity, supporting the design and execution of world-class infrastructure. Our team values technical excellence and the ability to deliver civil engineering solutions across power, process, healthcare, industrial, and government projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform project design activities from the conceptual phase through final completion, adapting plans to meet budget constraints, design factors, or client requirements.
- Modify and review production drawings for a diverse range of project types, ensuring specifications and standards are consistently met.
- Compile, update, and verify project documentation—such as studies, reports, and CAD drawings—based on inputs from senior engineers and project managers.
- Conduct field inspections, measurements, and calculations as required, supporting both public and private sector clients during various project phases.
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program with a minimum of 3 years of civil engineering experience; or a Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering design concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
- Strong proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, and other analysis programs relevant to civil engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, detail orientation, and analytical problem-solving abilities; EIT Certification preferred but not required.
