Job Title: Staff Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting the search for a Staff Engineering Technician for a collaborative engineering environment focused on developing high-quality electrical design deliverables for substation projects. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute technical expertise, support project teams, and help produce accurate documentation and drawings that play an important role in critical infrastructure work.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify technical deliverables, drawings, and documentation using established design practices and digital tools.
- Support the creation of electrical design drawings, including one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and front panel layouts.
- Apply standards, codes, document control practices, and company procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with design team members, review inputs, and provide technical guidance as needed to support project delivery.
Required:
- Diploma or certificate required.
- Associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design related Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience required.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Experience supporting engineering and design teams with technical deliverables and drawing development.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
