Job Title: Staff Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing an opportunity for a Staff Engineering Technician to support high-quality engineering deliverables for complex substation infrastructure projects. We are seeking someone who can contribute to 2D and 3D design work, collaborate across project teams, and help produce accurate technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor with Substation Design Suite and other CAD tools.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify engineering drawings and technical deliverables for substation projects using advanced design tools.
- Support general arrangements, elevations, conduit and grounding plans, and related project details.
- Apply engineering principles, design standards, document control practices, and quality procedures to assigned work.
- Coordinate with design team members, review inputs, and assist with schedules, calculations, material quantities, and deliverable review.
Required:
- Must be located within 50 miles of a substation office and able to work onsite only.
- Experience using Autodesk Inventor with Substation Design Suite in the substation industry is strongly preferred for consideration.
- Substation industry experience is required; candidates with Autodesk Inventor only and no substation experience will not be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience is required.
- Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred.
