Job Title: Staff Mechanical Engineer
Location: Columbus, Ohio (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented engineer to support complex project work from concept through closeout, contributing to designs that impact power, process, and other critical facility types. Our team is looking for someone who can combine strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with the ability to coordinate project details, support client communications, and help keep work moving forward efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical design work from conceptual development through design completion.
- Review and update production drawings, including support for CAD-related software and drawing corrections.
- Compile project data, support client presentations, and assist with shop drawing review and contract administration.
- Perform field inspections, measurements, calculations, and other assigned duties while collaborating with project teams.
Required:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related degree from an ABET-accredited program, with 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, and the ability to work methodically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
