Job Title: Structural & Payload Design Engineer
Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented engineering professional to support the design, validation, and integration of interior payload systems for a leading aerospace program. Our team values expertise in 3-D modeling and collaboration on complex builds to deliver quality solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing, integrating, and documenting structural and interior payload system requirements to define the system design.
- Support and perform tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet required specifications.
- Manage supplier performance, test and production activities, and coordinate with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program objectives.
- Support the production floor, particularly during initial or complex builds, and contribute to process and tool development for improved effectiveness and quality.
Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
- 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor's + 2 years experience, Master's + 0 years experience).
- 2+ years of experience with 3-D modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SketchUp, Pro-E, 3DX, or equivalent combinations of additional education and relevant experience.
- Experience working within cross-functional engineering and production teams.
