Job Title: Structures & Payload Design Engineer
Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated engineering professional to support the development, integration, and documentation of structural and interior payload systems. Our team is dedicated to providing rigorous technical design solutions that connect business needs with innovative product development within the aerospace sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system designs.
- Maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3D CAD tools and other design methods, supporting product definition throughout the lifecycle.
- Manage supplier development activities and coordinate with stakeholders to optimize design and achieve program goals.
- Validate compliance with regulatory requirements and support the product through certification and production processes.
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
- Five or more years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification, or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant experience.
- Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
- Experience in aerospace interiors, including materials, properties, design criteria, and release processes.
