Job Title: Technical Specialist/Scientist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled specialist to support our client’s Wetlands Protection Program, ensuring high-quality review and oversight of consultant work relating to wetlands and waterway projects. Our team values collaboration and regulatory expertise to help drive effective permitting, compliance, and overall environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical review, quality control, and oversight of wetlands and waterway jurisdictional delineation reports, permit applications, and related documentation prepared by consultants.
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with consultants, internal teams, line operations, contractors, and external agencies to facilitate timely project progression and compliance.
- Track projects, manage data, and provide ongoing administrative and organizational support related to wetlands program activities.
- Guide, recommend, and support permitting strategies while ensuring adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements and effective engagement with resource agencies.
Required:
- 3 years general Water Quality compliance experience and 3 years experience in regulatory permitting and negotiation in California (including USACE, RWQCB, and CDFW).
- 2 years of jurisdictional water and wetland delineation experience, including completion of a minimum 40-hour Wetland Delineation course and applied project experience.
- 2 years resource and project planning, as well as experience using ArcGIS, Google Earth, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Geospatial Systems.
- Bachelor’s degree and willingness to work remotely using own device with secure VDI access; background check and badge access required.
