Job Title: Technician -Avionics – A
Location: Kent, Washington (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled technician to support the assembly, testing, and qualification of flight-grade avionics and related hardware. Our team is looking for someone who can contribute to precision work, collaborate effectively, and help deliver high-quality electronics and harness assemblies for a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble flight-grade avionics, PCBAs, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and component-level board work.
- Support testing and qualifying avionics and integrate avionics and ground support hardware into electronics testbeds.
- Use electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures to complete work accurately.
- Apply ESD prevention and controls while using basic electronic lab test equipment and common hand tools.
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in assembly of avionics, medical devices, or other similar safety-critical fields.
- Thorough understanding of basic electronics theory, including voltage, resistance, and current.
- Experience with ESD prevention and controls, plus proficiency with basic electronic lab test equipment such as power supplies and handheld multimeters.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures; must also be able to lift 25 lbs and use Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, along with strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Minimum degree required: Associate’s Degree (Community College, MBO); preferred experience includes IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721, and related certifications or training.
