Job Title: Tooling Buyer
Location: Merritt Island, Florida (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated professional to drive sourcing, negotiations, and supplier management for critical aerospace tooling and manufacturing equipment. Our team values proactive contributors who are ready to ensure technical, cost, and schedule targets are met for production and development programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships and support procurement of tooling, manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and production support services.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, perform cost and price analyses, and develop negotiation strategies to secure best-value agreements.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and quality teams to align procurement effort with program deliverables and schedules.
- Ensure suppliers deliver on quality, schedule, technical, and cost requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required:
- Experience sourcing tooling, manufacturing equipment, fixtures, capital equipment, or industrial services.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and purchase orders, managing the full procurement lifecycle from requisition through invoice payment.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of AS9100 quality standards.
