Job Title: Transmission & Distribution Superintendent
Location: Dartmouth, Massachusetts (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to provide effective field operations oversight on critical transmission and distribution construction projects. Our team values leadership in project scheduling, safety management, and construction compliance to ensure timely and profitable project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct subcontractors to achieve safe, efficient, and timely completion of field construction activities while maintaining project schedule and adherence to contractual and safety standards.
- Supervise construction tasks such as high voltage transmission lines, substation equipment, duct bank installation, drilled piers, spread footings, and environmental compliance, ensuring high-quality execution and documentation of each activity.
- Collaborate with project management to implement project procedures, standards, and documentation, including field design changes, purchase requisitions, and daily reports with photographic updates of progress.
- Monitor and enforce subcontractor compliance with safety protocols, conduct audits of site safety documentation, manage material delivery verification, and support craft supervision and material/tool management on site.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of construction management or craft supervision experience on transmission and distribution projects; or Associate’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma/GED with 11 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills supported by a strong background in safety practices and protocols.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to meet company driving requirements and live within 70 miles of the greater Boston area.
