Job Title: Warehouse Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Job Summary:
Join our client’s team as a Warehouse Technician, where you’ll play a crucial role in managing inventory, shipping, and receiving operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle various warehouse tasks efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
• Operate a Trumark laser machine to create stainless steel tags weekly.
• Receive shipments, inspect for damage, document findings, and ensure proper storage.
• Prepare and ship products, ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations.
• Input data into the business system and manage inventory records.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and assist with bi-annual inventory counts.
• Provide phone and email support to customers as needed.
Skills Required:
• Basic electrical knowledge, including reading AC & DC voltage and resistance.
• Experience with ERP business systems; Microsoft Great Plains is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external customer interactions.
• Familiarity with trade compliance is advantageous.
• Ability to stand or move for at least 4 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
Physical Requirements:
• Stand or move for a minimum of 4 hours daily.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks like squatting and bending.
Required Licenses:
• Obtain OSHA-approved electric forklift operation certification.
