Job Title: Product Development Engineer
Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support apparel product creation and technical design efforts for major upcoming projects. Our team thrives in a dynamic environment and values expertise in patternmaking, collaboration, and hands-on sample creation.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer, cut, sew, and assemble apparel samples, ensuring they meet designer vision and premium quality standards.
- Participate actively in the apparel development process, collaborating with product creation teams and offering technical guidance.
- Interpret design intent, troubleshoot patternmaking and garment construction challenges, and provide alternative solutions as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, new technologies, and consumer needs to support project completion and corporate goals.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, textile science, or related field (preferred); equivalent product creation experience may be considered.
- 5–10 years of advanced patternmaking and/or sample sewing in the apparel industry, covering inception through production including materials, grading, construction, costing, manufacturing, and quality.
- Expertise with patternmaking, sewing, garment construction, Optitex/Gerber, CLO/Browzwear, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD Pattern Design software.
