Job Title: Staff Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (Onsite)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to provide advanced drafting and design support for substation projects. Our team relies on skilled individuals who can independently contribute to engineering deliverables while ensuring quality and standard compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Apply standards, systems, document control processes, and applicable codes to the creation and modification of engineering deliverables.
- Demonstrate accuracy and support continuous improvement efforts related to project deliverables and departmental processes.
- Coordinate project work with other groups and contribute to project finalization, including as-built documentation and material quantity estimations.
- Share knowledge of latest technologies and provide technical guidance and direction to other team members as needed.
Experience/Minimum Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience using Autodesk Inventor with Substation Design Suite (SDS) specifically within the substation industry.
- Direct experience in the substation industry; candidates without this cannot be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to independently support drafting and design tasks.
- Diploma, certificate, or associate degree in drafting or an engineering design-related technology preferred.
