Job Title: Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer – PLS-CADD
Location: Pomona, California (Hybrid)
Schedule: Hybrid – onsite every Wednesday and Thursday
Work Arrangement: Candidates must be able to work onsite as required; remote work is not available.
Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Engineer V to join our Transmission Engineering Proposal Engineering team in Pomona, CA. This is a senior-level, hands-on engineering role focused on transmission and distribution line design, PLS-CADD modeling, and pole/foundation analysis. The position will also involve reviewing engineering designs developed by other team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in transmission and/or distribution utility engineering
- Advanced hands-on experience with PLS-CADD
- Ability to build, develop, and troubleshoot PLS-CADD models from scratch
- Experience with transmission and distribution line design
- Experience performing pole and foundation analysis
- Ability to independently execute engineering designs and solve technical challenges
- Experience reviewing and providing technical feedback on engineering designs
- Familiarity with utility design tools and California GO 95 requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
- California PE (Professional Engineer) license strongly preferred
- Utility or utility consulting experience
- Experience with 66 kV, 115 kV, and/or 220 kV transmission systems
- Experience supporting field visits and field engineering activities
- Experience working with overhead line design and structural analysis
- Strong ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader engineering team
